You may also wish to consider:

Have Luminar Technologies's shares ever split?

Luminar Technologies's shares were split on a 1:15 basis on 20 November 2024 . So if you had owned 15 shares the day before before the split, the next day you'd have owned 1 share. This wouldn't directly have changed the overall worth of your Luminar Technologies shares – just the quantity. However, indirectly, the new 1400% higher share price could have impacted the market appetite for Luminar Technologies shares which in turn could have impacted Luminar Technologies's share price.

Luminar Technologies share price volatility

Over the last 12 months, Luminar Technologies's shares have ranged in value from as little as $3.3 up to $34.8. A popular way to gauge a stock's volatility is its "beta".

LAZR.US volatility(beta: 1.87)Avg. volatility(beta: 1.00)LowHigh

Beta is a measure of a share's volatility in relation to the market. The market (NASDAQ average) beta is 1, while Luminar Technologies's is 1.868. This would suggest that Luminar Technologies's shares are more volatile than the average for this exchange and represent, relatively-speaking, a higher risk (but potentially also market-beating returns).

To put Luminar Technologies's beta into context you can compare it against those of similar companies.
