Martin Company in Los Angeles, California. In March 1995, the Lockheed Martin Corporation was formed by the merger of Lockheed Corporation with Martin Marietta, two of America's largest defense contractors at the time. Lockheed Martin operates in four business segments: Aeronautics, Missiles and Fire Control, Rotary and Mission Systems and Space.
