Have Taylor Devices's shares ever split?

Taylor Devices's shares were split on a 105:100 basis on 11 December 1988 . So if you had owned 100 shares the day before before the split, the next day you'd have owned 105 shares. This wouldn't directly have changed the overall worth of your Taylor Devices shares – just the quantity. However, indirectly, the new 4.8% lower share price could have impacted the market appetite for Taylor Devices shares which in turn could have impacted Taylor Devices's share price.

Taylor Devices share price volatility

Over the last 12 months, Taylor Devices's shares have ranged in value from as little as $21.985 up to $64.5. A popular way to gauge a stock's volatility is its "beta".

TAYD.US volatility(beta: 1.04)Avg. volatility(beta: 1.00)LowHigh

Beta is a measure of a share's volatility in relation to the market. The market (NASDAQ average) beta is 1, while Taylor Devices's is 1.04. This would suggest that Taylor Devices's shares are a little bit more volatile than the average for this exchange and represent, relatively-speaking, a slightly higher risk (but potentially also market-beating returns).
