Chase Bank serves nearly half of US households with a broad range of financial products. Its wire transfer service allows you to send money abroad in over 40 currencies to more than 90 countries worldwide. You can choose between sending secure international money transfers online or at one of its 4,700 branch locations nationwide. Just be aware of member requirements, weak exchange rates and comparatively high transfer fees.
The Chase wire transfer fee you’ll pay depends on how you’re sending the transfer and whether you’re sending or receiving an international or domestic wire transfer. All transfers between Chase accounts are fee-free.
Chase offers lower fees when transferring using its foreign currency exchange option, but keep in mind that the exchange rate offered by Chase may be far weaker than other money transfer providers.
Outgoing (from online) | Outgoing (from a Chase branch) | Incoming | Between Chase accounts | |
---|---|---|---|---|
Chase domestic wire transfer | $25 | $35 | $15 | $0 |
Chase international wire transfer | $40 | $50 | $15 | $0 |
Chase international wire transfer (in foreign currency) | $5 ($0 for transfers of $5,000 or more) | $50 | $15 | $0 |
Like any large bank, Chase updates its rates in line with global currency market fluctuations. The Chase currency exchange rates you’ll be offered are similar to those of other large US banks but not as competitive as the rates you’ll get from a money transfer specialist.
It’s worth keeping in mind that Chase Bank’s wire transfer service adds a 4-7% margin on top of the mid-market exchange rate for international transfers. Therefore, it is best to compare the displayed rate on Chase with the current interbank rate to work out the size of this margin.
Chase Bank allows you to send money in more than 40 currencies to over 90 countries worldwide, including:
You have two options for transferring money with Chase:
You can send your international wire transfer on the same day or initiate a transfer for a future date online or at a Chase bank branch. If you submit your transfer by 4 p.m. ET, it will be processed the same business day.
Through Chase’s online banking service, you can send repeat wire transfers to the same recipient and delegate others to request and approve wire transfers.
Chase only allows payment via bank transfer. You also need a checking account with Chase Bank to use its international money transfer service.
Domestic wire transfers usually take 1-2 working days for the funds to be received, while international wire transfers can take anywhere from 3-5 business days. It’s also important to note that Chase’s total wire transfer limit is $250,000 per business day, and the wire cut-off time is 4 p.m. ET. If you submit your request after this cut-off, it will be processed the next business day.

How can I track a wire transfer sent to me from another state
Hi Latisha,
Thank you for contacting finder.
You will need to contact Chase Bank through phone or visit their nearest branch to be able to track your domestic wire transfer. They will be needing the details of your wire transfer so make that you have it ready. There are instances that the funds are posted delayed to the recipient’s bank account due to security purposes.
I hope this helps.
Let us know if there is anything else that I may assist you with.
Cheers,
Ash

Hi Abhishek,
Thanks for leaving a question on finder.
There is no minimum transfer limit and the total daily limit on wire transactions with Chase is $100,000 or your available balance. Business customers can request a higher limit if needed.

can I deposit International Money Order to my Chase Account
Hi Robert,
Thanks for your message.
Chase accepts deposits for money order through Chase Quickdeposits but it depends on the type. Just an FYI that Chase don’t accept foreign currency checks payable in U.S. Dollars and drawn on banks in the United States.
You may call the bank directly to ask for more information how to go about depositing money orders to a Chase account.
Hope this helps!
Cheers,
Nikki
Hey ..Please tell me that my friend which lived in America he sent money in my account but i can’t get that money and status is continuous HOLD say…! How can i get money..??
Hi Dharmendra,
Thanks for reaching out.
If the sender banks with Chase, she will need to call Chase and get details on why the funds’ status is currently on hold. By doing that they can advise her on what she can do to release the hold placed on the funds. You may also need to check with your bank if there is any detail they can provide or any advise on what you can do so the funds may be released.
Hope all goes well,
Joanne
