Like many sports, the 2020 MotoGP season was decimated by the coronavirus outbreak. But the 2021 season opened as scheduled with the Qatar Grand Prix on March 28. Spain, France, Germany, Great Britain, Austria, San Marino, Japan and Australia are among the countries also hosting grands prix.
Honda’s six-time world champion Marc Márquez had his run of four straight crowns ended by fellow Spaniard and Suzuki rider Joan Mir in 2020. Valentino Rossi is saddling up once more with Yamaha, while Fabio Quartararo, Andrea Dovizioso, Danilo Petrucci, Álex Rins and Maverick Viñales were among those that claimed race wins in 2020.
Heading into 2021, 19 races are on the calendar, with the Argentine and American events postponed at the time of writing. The championship is slated to conclude in Valencia on November 14.
Last year, beIN SPORTS held the rights to MotoGP, which meant you could watch via that service or fuboTV in Canada. That arrangement wasn’t continued for 2021.
But fear not race fans, Canadian specialty channel REV TV has stepped in and secured the rights for the 2024 MotoGP championship.
Launched back in January 2017, REV TV is a specialty channel available across a number of cable, satellite and Internet providers. Bell, Eastlink, Shaw Direct, Videotron and WTC Communications are just a few of the options. REV TV advises on its website that if you can’t see the channel listed on your service you should contact your provider.
On top of MotoGP, REV TV shows a range of motorsport content, including varied stock car, midget car, truck and tractor competitions from across North America. Previously known as MAVTV, it also airs speciality and reality shows, news coverage, interviews and more.
While beIN SPORTS isn’t currently showing MotoGP, it does have other motorsport for you to enjoy. The Motorcross World Championship and European Rallycross Championship are both on the platform. The beIN SPORTS channels can also be accessed on fuboTV.
If you haven’t checked out fuboTV yet, it has motorsport plus wrestling and soccer, including La Liga, Ligue 1 and Turkish Super Lig. FuboTV also has movies, TV and news offerings. A basic subscription costs $24.99 per month.
