Virgin Money has relaunched travel insurance for new customers with additional cover for coronavirus.
New customers can now buy policies which will include cover for medical expenses, cancellation and curtailment as a result of being diagnosed with Coronavirus. Existing customers are now automatically covered.
New customers will benefit from:
Virgin Money offer single-trip, annual multi-trip and backpacker insurance, as well as a range of optional extras.
With each of their cover options, Virgin Money offer four levels of cover: Red, Silver, Gold and Black. With Red being the lowest form of cover, and Black being the highest, the level of cover and other benefits vary for each option.
Virgin Money’s single trip cover is intended to cover you for just one trip you make.

Virgin Money’s annual multi trip cover allows you to take an unlimited amount of trips within a year. Each trip can be as long as 31 days for Red cover, and up to 90 days with Gold or Black cover.

All of Virgin Money’s travel insurance policies offer the same four levels of cover. As you would expect, policy payouts increase for each category as you move from red to black cover.

An excess is the amount of money you contribute to each claim you make before Virgin Money pay out. The excess is different for each of the policy options, but you have the choice to adjust the excess level to suit what premium you would like to pay.
Make sure to check your policy schedule where your excess information will be shown in detail.
To make a claim with Virgin Money you will need to get in contact by phone. email or by letter. Virgin Money will then reply and send a claims form to you, which you will have to fill out and attach any documents they’ve asked for. Once Virgin Money have your form and documents, they’ll process your claim.
