How do I use my Lightyear code?
Head to the Lightyear site or download the App from App Store or Play, then create an account. After you’ve verified your email and phone number, you’ll be asked for your full legal name as it appears on your ID, and your date of birth. It’s at this point that you’ll see an additional field – “Promo code (optional)”. Add your Finder code and you’re all set!

About Lightyear
Relative-newbie Lightyear launched in the UK in 2021. It pehaps hasn’t marketed itself quite as hard as your Freetrades and your Trading 212s, but it’s quietly begaining a respectable reputation. It’s authorised here by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA).
We’ve found that even though it charges nominal trading fees (capped at $1/£1/€1), when you combine this with its competitive exchange rate of , it can actually work out cheaper than supposedly “commission-free” trading apps.
