Sites like TrustTwo

TrustTwo lends to people who often struggle to get credit due to the way their credit score looks to mainstream lenders.

Important: TrustTwo is no longer accepting any new applications. This page has been preserved for historical purposes, and you can compare a range of guarantor personal loans here.

TrustTwo was a specialist lender who provided personal loans of between £500 and £10,000 over terms from 1 to 5 years. To get a loan from TrustTwo you needed a “guarantor” – a relative or friend who promises to pay back the loan in the event that you don’t (hence the name “TrustTwo”).

Warning: Late repayment can cause you serious money problems. For help, go to moneyhelper.org.uk.

Please note: High-cost short-term credit is unsuitable for sustained borrowing over long periods and would be expensive as a means of longer-term borrowing.

Guarantor loans unfortunately involve higher interest rates than a personal loan from your average high-street bank. But for some borrowers, applying with a guarantor can help them to access better rates than they might alone.

We show offers we can track - that's not every product on the market...yet. Unless we've said otherwise, products are in no particular order. The terms "best", "top", "cheap" (and variations of these) aren't ratings, though we always explain what's great about a product when we highlight it. This is subject to our terms of use. When you make major financial decisions, consider getting independent financial advice. Always consider your own circumstances when you compare products so you get what's right for you. Most of the data in Finder's comparison tables has the source: Moneyfacts Group PLC. In other cases, Finder has sourced data directly from providers.
