Welcome to the Finder Personal Loans Customer Satisfaction Awards 2024
The best way to determine the value of a product is by speaking to the people who actually use it – the customers. For our 2024 Customer Satisfaction Awards, we asked customers of the UK’s leading personal loan providers what they thought of their lender to see which came out on top.
The winners
Our winning companies are decided based on their overall satisfaction score (star rating) and recommendation score (how likely customers would be to recommend the lender to a friend). You can read more on our methodology below.

Personal Loans Customer Satisfaction Winner
Monzo
Straight in at number 1 is the challenger bank Monzo. It’s the first year we’ve asked customers of this digital bank about the loans it provides, and the answer has come back overwhelmingly positive. Monzo got 4.8 out of 5 for overall satisfaction, and 97% of customers we surveyed would recommend the brand.

Personal Loans Customer Satisfaction Highly Commended
HSBC
Last year, HSBC had a good showing in our personal loans league table, but this year, it’s soared. The bank got 4.6 for overall satisfaction from the customers we asked, and an impressive 94% said they’d recommend it to a friend.

Customer satisfaction scores methodology
We asked loans customers to score their satisfaction with the service they had received from their primary platform, and also whether they would recommend the service to a friend. Our independent survey of 750 personal loan users was carried out in December 2023 – full details of our methodology here.
We have shown both results for the brands listed in the table above, and used these ratings to decide the winners of our awards (where there was a draw on the star ratings score, we used the “would recommend” percentage as a tie-breaker).
