Godiva Mortgages is the Coventry Building Society’s provider of buy-to-let mortgages. An intermediary-only service, they provide a range of options, as well as an online application service and telephone advisors available to discuss your particular needs.
What types of mortgages can I get with Godiva Mortgages?
- Fixed rate Your interest rate will remain locked for a set amount of time.
- Remortgages You can switch from your existing provider to Godiva via one of its remortgage products.
- Tracker With this mortgage type, the mortgage rate shifts up and down in line with the Bank of England bank rate.
How to apply
You can only apply for a mortgage through one of the lender’s intermediaries.
What information is needed to apply?
You’ll need to provide personal information with various details about your employment and income. This will need to be backed up by your latest P60 and payslips.
If applicable, the lender will also ask about the income generated by, and general information about, other properties in your buy-to-let portfolio.
Eligibility criteria
Applicants must be at least 18 years old and no older than 85 when the mortgage term is due to end. The maximum age an applicant can be when applying is 75 years old.
The applicant must have no more than 5 properties mortgaged with the Coventry Building Society and no more than 10 properties in their portfolio overall.
All applicants are subject to an affordability check, which will include a credit check and a review of your income and outgoings. The lender will expect a minimum rental income to be generated from your property in line with its Interest Coverage Ratio.
