Winners of the Finder Crypto Innovation Awards 2023 revealed!
04, October, 2023, LONDON –
The winning and highly commended companies in the Finder Crypto Innovation Awards 2023 have been revealed today.
The personal finance comparison site finder.com assessed innovation across key providers in the cryptocurrency industry to recognise those that are innovating in their sector, by launching impactful features and delivering unique benefits to their customers.
The awards were decided by a panel of 4 expert judges:
- Frank Corva, senior analyst for digital assets, Finder
- Erica Stanford, fintech & AI specialist
- Kate Levchuk, blockchain & AI expert
- Charles Kerrigan, partner specialising in digital assets, fintech, crypto & AI, CMS
And the winners are…
The winner of the Finder Crypto Innovation Award 2023 is Kraken.
Kraken was awarded first place for the improvements made to the interface and tools available with Kraken Pro, a customisable crypto trading platform released in late December 2022. The innovation was praised by the judges as a great offering from an exchange that has kept its clients’ funds safe since its founding in 2011.
The highly commended spot goes to Revolut for a range of crypto innovations including the addition of a crypto spending mode to its debit cards. The judges commended Revolut for creating products that make it easier for users to get into crypto, whilst still making it clear that there are risks involved. Crypto is not regulated, but all exchanges on the shortlist were on the Financial Conduct Authority’s register of crypto firms.
Commenting on the awards, Frank Corva, senior analyst for digital assets at finder.com said:
“It’s great to see Kraken — an exchange that was founded in 2011 — still prioritising innovation and bringing its customers a user interface (UI) that is second-to-none. We learned from the FTX debacle that a crypto exchange can have a notable UI but can be unsafe to use. Kraken’s impeccable 12-year track record of securing its clients’ funds plus its new and improved UI truly put the exchange in a class of its own.
“And while Kraken has been making great improvements for more seasoned crypto investors and traders, Revolut has been doing its part to make crypto accessible for newbies. This is particularly important as the Bitcoin halving is less than a year away, and those that Revolut is helping to bring into crypto now will likely benefit from the crypto bull market that may and has historically ensued post-halving.
“Congrats to both Kraken and Revolut on the well-deserved acknowledgement they received in this year’s Finder Crypto Innovation Awards!”

Methodology:
The shortlist of finalists in each category was selected by Finder’s subject specialists, who identified the providers they felt were displaying key innovations in their field.
This shortlist was then passed to an expert judging panel, who decided the winning and highly commended companies by assessing the finalists across 3 different criteria: uniqueness of innovation, impact in the market and value to customers.
