Metro Bank switch offer

Looking to move to Metro Bank? Find out if this banking pioneer has any bonuses for those of you making the switch.

Metro Bank switch deal update

Metro Bank is currently not offering a switching deal. The information below is for reference only. For switching deals & sign-up bonus offers available now, make sure to check out our switching deals guide and sign-up bonus deals guide.

Metro Bank hit the scene in 2008, becoming the first new high street bank in Britain in more than 150 years, paving the way for a new breed of modern banks like Monzo and Starling. It made headlines with its novel approach to banking, including lavish launch parties and branches which welcomed your four-legged best friends (complete with complimentary dog biscuits in branches).

Metro Bank has had its ups and downs since then, but one surefire way to attract new customers is with a bank switching incentive.

Is Metro Bank currently running a switching offer?

Metro Bank isn’t currently offering a bonus for customers who switch from another bank.

But other banks are offering bonus cash, and you can browse all the latest bank switching deals and how to bag them in our full guide.

Bank switching bonuses at Metro Bank and other leading banks can pop up at any time without prior warning. To stay ahead of this, you can sign up to our newsletter below. We’ll update you if a new Metro Bank offer launches.

What switching offers have been available in the past?

August-December 2020

In August 2020, Metro Bank launched its first ever refer-a-friend campaign, giving existing customers the chance to pocket up to £250 when they got friends or family members to sign up.

The refer-a-friend bonus awarded £50 in cash for each successful referral, with up to 5 referrals per customer – perfect for all you popular peeps. It worked in quite a standard way, with customers receiving a unique code which their friends could use when creating their own account. This would link the 2 and unlock the £50 reward.

On top of the referral bonus, the person signing up also received £50, meaning Metro Bank was paying out £100 on each new sign-up.

When might the bank launch a new switching offer?

We have good news and bad news.

The bad news is that there’s no definitive date for the next bank switching deal from Metro Bank. Bank switching deals can appear out of nowhere, and expire just as quickly and mysteriously. To find the latest Metro Bank switch bonuses, you need to keep your ear to the ground.

The good news is we can let you know if it launches! Sign up to our newsletter and we’ll reach out when a new Metro Bank switch bonus goes live.

Alternative offers

If this offer is not for you, we also have a guide displaying current banking switching deals on the market and also other banking offers such as refer-a-friend offers and more.

We show offers we can track - that's not every product on the market...yet. Unless we've said otherwise, products are in no particular order. The terms "best", "top", "cheap" (and variations of these) aren't ratings, though we always explain what's great about a product when we highlight it. This is subject to our terms of use.
