Scotland’s oldest bank has been around for over 300 years, but how many bank switching offers has it managed in that time?
Interestingly, Bank of Scotland‘s switch bonus doesn’t follow the blueprint set by other banks where you get a lump sum for switching over. This is unusual, especially when you consider Bank of Scotland merged with Halifax in 2001 and was acquired by Lloyds TSB in 2009. So, what do they do differently? And when might they start a regular bank switch offer?
Is Bank of Scotland currently running a switching offer?
Not really – but you can grab a few perks when you make the switch to Bank of Scotland.
In addition to up to 15% cashback at selected retailers, you’ll also get a 3-month 0% arranged overdraft. After that, you’ll be charged interest daily.
What switching offers have been available in the past?
There’s no indication that Bank of Scotland has run a traditional switch offer in the past, where you’d get a cash bonus for moving over from another bank. However, you can get that interest-free overdraft we spoke about, so maybe it’ll sweeten its switch bonus in the future.
When might the bank launch a new switching offer?
At the moment, Bank of Scotland seems content with its interest-free overdraft switch offer. But that could change at any moment.

We show offers we can track - that's not every product on the market...yet. Unless we've said otherwise, products are in no particular order. The terms "best", "top", "cheap" (and variations of these) aren't ratings, though we always explain what's great about a product when we highlight it. This is subject to our terms of use.
