What are Admiral’s different policies?
Admiral offers 2 main policies (single car and MultiCar). Both are avaialable as third party only, third party, fire and theft and comprehensive. Comprehensive comes in Essential, Standard, Gold and Platinum. So whether you want to insure just 1 car or multiple cars, it will have a policy to suit you. Admiral comprehensive policies come with a range of benefits and features included as standard which are included below.

How do I make a claim?
You can make a claim on Admiral’s website or by calling 0333 220 2033. It’s available Monday to Friday from 8am–8pm, Saturday from 9am–4pm and Sunday from 10am–4pm.
What is my excess?
When you make a claim, you have to pay an amount of money towards it – that is called an excess.
The exact amount varies according to a few personal factors, like the type of car that’s covered and the age of both the car and the driver.
Taking out protected or guaranteed no-claims bonus protection will also affect your excess.

Admiral won the car insurance category in the Finder Customer Satisfaction Awards in 2024, with 93% of customers saying they’d recommend the service to a friend. Feedback included praise for its pricing, and many customers described Admiral as “reliable”.

With Admiral MultiCar, you could save up to £330 on your car insurance when you insure more than 1 vehicle.
You’ll get an immediate discount when the policy starts and every car you add earns its own discount. Every car that’s on Admiral MultiCar for more than 3 months gets a full year of no-claims bonus added, and if you need to make a claim, it will only affect the car in question.
Unfortunately, breakdown cover is listed as a separate policy so it isn’t included in any Admiral car insurance policies as standard.
However, you can add it to your policy as an optional extra and choose from 3 different levels of breakdown cover.
If you’re the policyholder and you’re aged 25 or over, then Admiral may be able to arrange third party cover for you to drive someone else’s car.
