What I think about Kubera
Kubera is a rare app in the portfolio-tracking space because it lets you keep an eye on your stocks while tracking your crypto assets, real estate, cars, loans to friends and family and almost any other asset class, all in one place. Most apps let you track stocks, ETFs and sometimes crypto, but never your other assets.
Kubera lets you connect with your brokerage account, with your crypto wallet, exchange or a bank — including more than 20,000 banks worldwide — and pull real-time data. For assets that the app can’t get information on, you can add them manually.
Other cool features include:
- Real estate value tracking with the latest market data from Zillow.
- Track your car’s value by adding the VIN.
- Automatic value tracking for any web domains you hold.
All this lets you get a real-time snapshot of your net worth. Should you need it, you can share read-only access with your investment advisor, accountant, estate planner or when applying for loans. On top of that, you get the Dead Man’s Switch feature that sends all your information — including important documents you upload and all your accounts and assets — to your beneficiary if you’re inactive for a specific period of time. Ominous, but important.
Kubera tracks more than your stocks and crypto
With Kubera, track your debt and almost any asset you can think of, including:
- Real estate
- Vehicles
- Art
- Web domains
- Precious metals
- Loans
- Angel investments
- Collectibles
- Foreign investments
- Trademarks and digital assets
Kubera is best for those who own multiple assets
If you only have a few thousand invested in the stock market or in crypto and you don’t own any real estate, Kubera is probably not for you. There are completely free apps that will suffice.
But if you own multiple assets including stocks, crypto, real estate and anything else, keeping an eye on everything in one place and in real-time with Kubera is definitely worth considering.
Kubera fees
Kubera has a straightforward pricing structure — you’ll pay $150 per year to use the app.

Pros and cons
Kubera may be useful for some users, but it has some important benefits and drawbacks.
Pros
- Track multiple currencies. Aside from tracking all of your assets, track and monitor your foreign accounts in a variety of currencies.
- Dead Man’s Switch. Your beneficiary will get access to your account and all of your net worth should something happen to you.
- Simple to use. Kubera is a web-based app with an intuitive, easy-to-use interface.
- Security and privacy. Because the app isn’t free, you’re paying for security and privacy. Kubera is ad-free and the company claims they don’t sell your private information.
Cons
- Fees. The app isn’t free. However, it’s a small price to pay for everything it offers.
- Not all assets are automatically tracked. You have to add some of your assets manually, and they’re not automatically tracked. This is understandable as not every asset — such as art or collectibles — can have its value automatically tracked.
- Mobile read-only access. On mobile, you only get read-only access through your browser. Add or remove assets using the Kubera website.
