Our verdict

A decent cashback business card that lets you downgrade to no annual fee.

The Premium Capital on Tap Business Credit Card is the big brother to the Capital on Tap Business Credit Card, which you can opt into during the application process. Choose to pay $0 annually for the card, and you’ll earn a 2% rewards rate on all card purchases and a $199 welcome offer after you spend $15,000 in your first 3 months. The Premium Capital on Tap Business Credit Card has two repayment options: the entirety of each month’s statement balance, or a 10% minimum each month.

Like the standard version of the card, the Premium Capital on Tap Business Credit Card doesn’t offer much in the way of surprises otherwise, offering up to 20 free supplementary business cards, a credit limit ranging from $1,000 to $50,000 and other niceties like spend management tools. And the card’s “Premium” tag doesn’t affect the card’s APR range, which still ranges from 17.99% to 43.99% variable. While 17.99% is low for an APR, 43.99% is unusually high and terrible if you plan on carrying a balance.
