Our verdict

A no-annual-fee credit card with 3% cash back on eligible groceries, dining and entertainment purchases.

The Capital One Savor Cash Rewards Credit Card is one of the more well known dining and entertainment credit cards on the market. It comes with a $0 annual fee, a $250 signup bonus after you spend $500 in purchases within your first 3 months, and 3% cash back on groceries (excluding superstores like Walmart and Target), dining, entertainment and select streaming purchases.

Additionally, you'll earn 8% cash back on purchases at Capital One Entertainment, plus 5% back on hotels and car rentals when you book through Capital One Travel. Since the card has no annual fee, these rewards are solid.

In addition, you get to use 15 months of 0% intro APR period on purchases and balance transfers, reverting to 19.74% to 29.74% variable. You'll also pay a 3% fee on balance transfers made during the intro period, or 4% at a promotional APR that Capital One may offer you at any other time. As always, an intro APR is a valuable tool for saving on interest.

Overall, the Capital One Savor Cash Rewards Credit Card is a terrific bundle of features for a no annual fee card and worth checking out if you’re looking for a card that rewards you for spending on dining and entertainment.

  • No annual fee. The cash back you earn is a pure reward since you don’t have to pay an annual fee for the card.
  • Intro APR period. Enjoy a 0% intro APR for 15 months from your account opening on purchases and balance transfers. After that your APR reverts to a variable APR of 19.74% to 29.74%. You’ll pay a 3% fee on balance transfers made during the intro period.

Capital One Savor Cash Rewards Credit Card reviews and complaints.

Satisfied card members love the cashback rates they get on dining, entertainment and grocery stores. There’s also a large number of customers who are happy with the size of the credit line they received.

Customers mostly complain about the high APR rates that come with the card. But you could avoid this by paying your balance on time.

As of May 2023, Capital One earns an A- rating from the Better Business Bureau, which accredited the bank since 1995.

Bottom line

This can be an excellent card if you mostly spend your money on dining, entertainment purchases or at grocery stores where you’ll earn the highest cash back. You’ll get a long intro APR period on purchases, and you won’t pay an annual fee.

However, if you think you might do better with a different card, check out other credit cards and compare your options.
