Alternative ways to invest in Meta
Buying stocks in just one company can leave you more exposed to unexpected swings in the market than if you have a range of investments otherwise known as a diversified portfolio. Experts generally recommend having a broad mix of assets and funds on the basis that drops in the value of some will be offset by rises elsewhere.
This means that it’s generally a good idea to invest in exchange traded funds (ETFs) or index funds like the S&P 500 to expose yourself to a variety of companies and industries. The good news is that Meta is a major part of the NASDAQ index, so it’s included in many global funds and investment trusts like the S&P 500, as well as ETFs.

Meta Platforms share price volatility
Over the last 12 months, Meta Platforms's shares have ranged in value from as little as $412.9934 up to $740.2514. A popular way to gauge a stock's volatility is its "beta".
Beta is a measure of a share's volatility in relation to the market. The market (NASDAQ average) beta is 1, while Meta Platforms's is 1.279. This would suggest that Meta Platforms's shares are more volatile than the average for this exchange and represent, relatively-speaking, a higher risk (but potentially also market-beating returns).
