Desjardins credit cards

Desjardins offers three main types of cards: fee-free, low-interest and travel rewards. Some of the credit cards offer both a Visa and Mastercard option, but you might need to look for something else if you’re in the market for an American Express.

Cash Back Visa or Mastercard

You can earn bonus dollars whenever you use this card, and redeem the money you save for gift rewards, event tickets and travel packages. This card also offers no annual fee, extended warranty coverage and purchase protection, 3-day travel insurance and mobile device insurance at no extra cost.

Odyssey World Elite Mastercard

This card offers the complete package for frequent flyers, with bonus dollars and comprehensive travel insurance. You’ll also get free passes every year to kick back and relax in the Desjardins Odyssey Lounge at the Montreal Airport.

This card also comes with many non-travel related benefits, including mobile device insurance, purchase protection, extended warranty coverage on purchases and zero liability in the event of fraud. Just be prepared to pay a higher-than-average annual fee in return for all the extras.

Desjardins credit cards rewards program

Desjardins credit cards offer returns in the form of bonus dollars, which can be used to purchase merchandise, event tickets and travel packages.

How to redeem points

You can redeem bonus points by signing into your online AccèsD account. Simply click on your card, select options and specify how many bonus dollars you want to use. To redeem points for merchandise, you can register for an account at www.bonusdollars.ca. For travel, you’ll need to spend the money on your trip in advance, and then you can apply your bonus dollars to your statement to cover the cost.
