Which financial institutions offer Collabria credit cards?

Collabria works with hundreds of small to medium-sized credit unions across Canada. These include credit unions that are region specific (like Integris Credit Union in north central BC and DUCA in southern Ontario) as well as non-regional financial institutions (like the First Nations Bank of Canada).

In 2022, the National Credit Card Program (NCCP) signed a five-year agreement to make Collabria the credit card supplier of choice for its members. Administered by Central 1 Credit Union, the NCCP is a network of more than 180 credit unions united under a single Master Services Agreement (MSA) to issue branded portfolios of credit cards.

Collabria doesn’t typically partner with large credit unions like VanCity and Meridian, which have enough resources to offer in-house credit card programs.

Collabria rewards program

You can earn points with Collabria by spending money on your credit card. Every dollar you spend will get you a certain number of points unless you sign up for a card that doesn’t come with rewards like the Visa Classic.

These points accumulate and can be redeemed for merchandise, gift cards, statement credit, charitable donations, private vacation rentals, hotels, flights and travel experiences.

To redeem your Collabria points, visit the Flex Rewards website. Sign in and explore reward categories. Then exchange your points for whatever you choose.

How much are Collabria points worth?

The value of Collabria rewards points depends on the reward you’re redeeming points for. Generally, we found that each Collabria reward point is worth less than 1 cent.

For example, a $25 gift card could cost 2,995 points, which means one point is worth 0.008 cents. A $1,099 Apple Watch Ultra 2 (GPS + cellular) could cost 148,499 points, making each point worth 0.007 cents.

A summer round-trip flight from Toronto to London might require 147,777-350,124 points. If the Canadian dollar value of this flight is $700-$1,200 (depending on the route and upgrades you choose), each Collabria reward point is worth between 0.002 cents and 0.008 cents.

How does Collabria keep my credit card information secure?

Collabria has bank-level security measures in place to protect your credit card information.

It stores your application form securely and encrypts all of your information and transactions for an added layer of protection. It also has a firewall to prevent data breaches and non-authorized users from accessing its systems.

Collabria credit cards also come with zero liability insurance to protect you against unauthorized or fraudulent purchases made on your account. This means if there are purchases you don’t recognize, you won’t be charged for them as long as you took reasonable precautions to protect your card and report it as stolen.
